Tulips

The world’s biggest indoor flower show in the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia.  2017’s theme is based on the Netherlands.

We spent a frigid weekend inside the center.  The show covered 10 acres of lights, waterfalls, windmills and sweeping beds filled with 30,000 blooming trees, shrubs and flowers.  The show also embraced Dutch culture, such as canals, bridges, wooden shoes, cheese-making, and, of course, windmills.

There was so much beauty to absorb; there was abundance of daintiness and elegance to the delight of the senses of sight and smell –orchids, hyacinths, plumeria (from Hawaii), daffodils, and tulips galore of course.

The pictures of the flowers, credit to Cho, cover the many varieties of tulips.
