Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Gardens

Shakespeare Garden in Central Park, NYC is a four-acre landscape.

The beautiful garden has flowers and plants mentioned in the famed English poet and playwright’s poems and plays.

The garden is designed to resemble his native English countryside. It has a variety of plants, including tulips, primrose, wormwood, quince, eglantine that are accompanied by small plaques featuring quotes from Shakespearean works that reference the garden’s flowers.

  1. Love the Tulips! I’ve been to Will and Anne Hathaway’s cottage in Stratford – upon – Avon and took a few photos but they were back in the day of film rolls and it would take forever to dig them out 😦

I can recall a back garden but the front of the house borders on a main street.
